Welcome to the Monroe County Sand Mines site!

Monroe County has sand mines in the city of Sparta, Tunnel City, Valley Junction, Oakdale and Little Falls. Mines have also looked at sites in the township of Angelo. A sand mine had been looking at the town of Grant but has apparently dropped the project.

This website is an effort to keep locals abreast of sand mine developments throughout the county.
